Naprosyn is NSAID used to reduce intense pain caused by different kinds of arthritis. Main ingredient is Naproxen.

Dosage Form: tablet, film-coated tablets

Pharmacological action: NSAIDs, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effect.

Indications for use of Naprosyn

Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system: rheumatoid, juvenile chronic, gouty arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (ankylosing spondylitis), osteoarthritis. Pain: myalgia, ossalgia, neuralgia, arthralgia, sciatica, headache and tooth pain, tendonitis, oncological diseases, post-traumatic and postoperative pain, accompanied by inflammation, tuberculosis, adnexitis, childbirth (as analgesic and tocolytic agent). Contraindications of Naprosyn

Hypersensitivity, erosive and ulcerative lesions GIT (exacerbation), “Aspirin” triad (a combination of asthma, recurrent nasal polyposis, and paranasal sinuses and intolerances ASA and LS pirazolonovogo series), inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis, liver and / or kidney failure, pregnancy, lactation, children’s age (up to 1 year) .C caution. Side effects of Naprosyn

NSAID gastropathy (loss antrum as mucosal erythema, hemorrhage, erosions and ulcers). Nausea, vomiting, epigastric discomfort, skin rash, urticaria, angioedema, headache, drowsiness, tinnitus, dizziness, weakness, slow reaction rate; erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract etc, bleeding and perforation of the gastrointestinal tract.; eosinophilic pneumonia; thrombocytopenia, granulocytopenia, aplastic anemia, hemolytic anemia; hearing loss, impaired renal or hepatic function.

Overdose of Naprosyn

Symptoms: heartburn, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness. Treatment: gastric lavage, activated carbon – 0.5 g / kg. Dialysis is ineffective.

Dosage and administration:

The tablets are taken orally. Tablets should be taken whole, with some liquid, it can be taken with food.

In the acute stage of the disease: at 0.5-0.75 g 2 times a day.

The maximum daily dose: 1.75 g

For maintenance therapy: in an average daily dose of 500 mg in 2 divided doses (morning and night).

When an acute attack of gout: the first dose – 825 mg; then – 275 mg every 8 hours.

When migraine – 500 mg.

Children (1 to 5 years) at a daily dose of 2.5-5 mg / kg, 3.1 reception; treatment should not exceed 14 days.

In juvenile arthritis, in children older than 5 years, the daily dose – 10 mg / kg.
