Dosage

Do not start taking medications without consulting the doctor first. Ampicillin is a serious medicine which is not used for treating problems caused by virus such as cold, flu, etc. Using the antibiotic without the instruction given by specialist may lead to negative body reactions, allergy or worsening of the patient’s condition. The usual dose for adults is 250-500 mg four times a day. If necessary, the dose may be increased to 3 g per day.
